Most of the other modules just seem like different types of equalizers to help you get into the nitty gritty details. I mixed using Waves SSL and J37 Tape and have the piece sounding pretty vintage already. I feel like you should have your tone colored and saturated as much as you like in your mix, then the master can just apply a clean, finalized polish to it. I'm working on some old-fashioned rock and blues projects so I tried the "Vintage" setting offered in advanced and I don't think it's really at all necessary: especially in the mastering stage. Personally, I don't know what it is, but I find that the Mastering Assistant in Ozone Elements produces the same or better results than the one in Ozone Advanced. But I'm starting to think that's really all that's missing: Bells and Whistles. Ozone Elements definitely has a lot less bells and whistles. The main Difference is Bells and Whistles TL DR – Ozone Advanced may not be worth it over Ozone Elements. ![]() ![]() Here's some things I noticed, but I'd love to hear your thoughts and if you've tried other Elements/Advanced Izotope products. Just minutes before I saw the promotion, I had downloaded the demo version of Ozone 9 Advanced. So I have been comparing them. So I recently got Ozone 9 Elements for free from a promotion on Splice.
